 Established in 2009, JAC Civil (JACC) is a family-owned civil/municipal project delivery company based on the Fraser Coast in Queensland. We have strong, long-term relationships with government agencies and private firms, delivering a wide range of civil and structural construction services. Our projects include road and drainage maintenance, consulting, resource management, fire preparedness and more.

• Foreman / Supervisor (Civil Construction)
• MC Operator (Truck & Dog, Side Tipper, Float, Water Tanker)
• Excavator Operator
• Tradesperson / Skilled Civil Construction Leading Hand

ABOUT THE ROLES 

Foreman / Supervisor

• Oversee and coordinate civil construction projects (roads, drainage, earthworks)
• Lead and mentor site crews, ensuring safety, quality, and timelines are achieved
• Liaise with clients, engineers, and managers
• Monitor progress, resolve issues, and prepare reports
• Operate machinery as required
• Opportunity to step into a key leadership role with very competitive remuneration for the right candidate

MC Operator

• Operate and maintain MC-class vehicles (truck & dog, side tipper, float, water tanker)
• Undertake road works, quarry haulage, and bulk earthworks
• Perform daily checks and maintain accurate reporting
• Assist site teams with labouring duties when needed

Excavator Operator

• Operate excavators and attachments for road works, drainage, and bulk earthworks
• Carry out pre-start checks, servicing, and minor maintenance
• Deliver high-quality outcomes, independently or as part of a team
• Assist with manual handling or other site duties during downtime

Tradesperson / Skilled Civil Construction Leading Hand

• Carry out civil works including road construction, footpaths, kerb & channel, stormwater, drainage headwalls, and concrete structures
• Read and interpret drawings, set out works with lasers or dumpy levels
• Operate plant equipment (Excavator, Roller, Skid Steer – HR licence advantageous)
• Lead small teams and mentor less experienced workers
• Deliver high-quality finishing work and promote safe work practices

KEY REQUIREMENTS (DEPENDING ON POSITION)

• Civil construction experience (road works, drainage, or related projects)
• Supervisory/leading hand experience required for Foreman and Tradesperson roles
• Current QLD driver’s licence (MC or HR desirable depending on role)
• Excavator or other plant operator tickets (for machinery roles)
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in similar role
