Realignment of identified sections through harvested plantation for safe vehicular movements as the only access road to the township. Endangered species identified within the road corridor and site was also identified by traditional owners the Butchulla people as having high potential to contain artifacts significant to their people.

Works included:

• upgrading of the pavement to a bitumen sealed standard
• Clearing and grubbing (paying particular attention to not disturbing an identified endangered species of plants)
• pavement marking
• wick drain installation
• significant subgrade treatment of unsuitable
• guidepost installation
• landscaping
