Regional track record and specialised capabilities

Established in 2009 in Maryborough, on the beautiful Fraser Coast, JAC Civil was founded by two brothers, Glen and Clint Grohn; both passionate about engineering and construction. For five generations their family has lived in the area and fostered a strong connection to its people. They are proud of their commitment to support their community through local employment and economic contribution.

In line with our heritage, JACC’s strategic plan focuses on maintaining an active commitment to supporting the area and an ongoing positive presence in the growth and sustainable development of the Fraser Coast region. To this end, we have grown exponentially over 14 years to employ over 70 people who deliver a range of projects in our local community for numerous government and corporate clients. This continual growth relies on developing close, long-term relationships with our clients.

We are the region’s most trusted project delivery partner with a diverse range of specialisations in civil and structural infrastructure construction, maintenance and renewal, biosolid management, and quarrying. Our workforce capabilities are approximately 70 fulltime staff including civil and structural engineers, project managers, site supervisors, surveyors, tradespersons (carpenters, plumbers, diesel mechanics, apprentices), multiskilled plant operators and HSE specialists. To complement our workforce, we own and operate an extensive fleet of new and well-maintained plant and vehicles with in-house servicing capabilities including excavators (1.7t– 35.5t), graders, rollers, dozers (D5–D8), loaders, a skid steer and backhoe, a tractor/slasher, forklifts/telehandler, light vehicles and job trucks. Our truck fleet also includes prime movers, water trucks, body trucks, side tippers and floats (tri- and quad-axle) and our crushing equipment includes an impact and jaw crusher and a scalping screen. These agile organisational capabilities have delivered projects up to $5 million (excl. GST).
